1. milkar juda huey tho na soya karenge hum
ek doosre ke yaad meiN roya karenge hum

[Since we have met and then seperated, we will not sleep hereafter

2. aaNsoo chalak chalak ke sathaayenge raath bhar
moti palak palak meiN piroyaa karenge hum

[pironaa - is the action of passing a string through pearls,
creating a necklace. Here tear drops are related to pearls]

[Our flowing tears will keep disturbing us all night long
On each eyelash, we will string pearls/tear drops]

3. jab dooriyoN ki yaad diloN ko jalaayegi
jismoN ko chaandni meiN bhigoya karenge hum

[When thoughts, of the distance between us, will burn our hearts
We will immerse/wet our bodies in moonlight]

4. gar de gaya daga hameN toofan bhi 'qateel'
sahil pe kashtiyoN ko dooboya karenge hum
